Rachel amazed by her £1,000 charity lottery win
A WOMAN from St Issey who has supported Cornwall Hospice Care's weekly lottery draw since 2010 has hit the jackpot and won the top £1,000 prize.
Rachel Delourme said she could not believe that she had won the cash.
"I never even dreamt about winning, I just do it to support the hospice since my mum received excellent care at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in 2007. That's why I joined the lottery, it seemed right,'' she said.
The hospice in St Austell cared for her mum, Marianne Carmody, managing her pain and symptoms and stabilising her so she could return home during her final days.
