Rail repairs force mainline route closures
Passenger face rail misery as track repairs close mainline routes through Devon and Cornwall.
First Great Western (FGW) has warned its customers to check before they travel this weekend and the following week as Network Rail carries out essential maintenance work right through next week.
Buses will replace services leaving from Exeter St Davids, Crediton and Barnstaple, starting this Saturday and continuing until a week on Sunday.
Trains will terminate at Crediton and customers will be able to use the rail replacement service from there to Barnstaple.

From Monday 14 to Saturday 19 rail services between Exeter St Davids and Crediton will be hourly throughout the day with reduced services on mornings and evenings.
For the next two Sundays, a two-hourly service will operate.
Tomorrow, a revised timetable will also be in operation between Plymouth and Penzance, with rail replacement buses running between Plymouth and St Austell, and between Bodmin Parkway, Lostwithiel, Par and St Austell.
A revised train service will also be in operation between Truro and Falmouth Docks – to maintain connections at Truro with St Austell and Penzance services.
The line between Par and Newquay will also be closed, with replacement buses in operation between Newquay, St Austell and Plymouth and between Newquay and all stops to Par.
