A BUSY rail commuter line linking Falmouth to Truro was being kept closed all this week so workmen can lay new track.

The Maritime Line was closed on Saturday for one week.

Passengers are being offered a regular bus service between the two towns until November 4.

Network Rail has been relaying track as part of its planned infrastructure renewal and maintenance work.

"We'll do our very best to make journeys as easy as possible while this work is carried out, providing a regular replacement bus service throughout the course of the works."

A half-hourly bus service will operate from Monday to Saturday, with an hourly service available on Sunday.
