Rape charges

STEVEN CRUMP, 37, of Beacon Road, Bodmin, has been sent to Truro Crown Court on conditional bail for a hearing on May 1 charged with seven offences of raping a girl under 16; three of indecent assault on a girl under 14 and three of assaulting, ill-treating, neglecting or abandoning a child in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering. All the offences are alleged to have been committed at St Austell on dates between 1997 and 2002.
