Rare Dracula book to get your teeth into
A rare first edition of the gothic horror story Dracula dedicated to a famous novelist of the day is about to go under the hammer.
The novel by Bram Stoker, complete with a lurid mustard yellow dust jacket, is to be sold by Lawrences in Crewkerne, South Somerset.

Director Richard Kay said it could fetch bids of over £10,000 and attract buyers from the other side of the Atlantic.
"This is a very rare book and there are book collectors who will be selling portions of their existing library to be able to buy this," he said. "The book is so famous that it's not just British collectors, but collectors from America who will be hoping to purchase."

The novel charting the exploits of vampire Count Dracula is undoubtedly one of the most famous tales ever to be published. It is being sold from a private library in South Dorset. It is inscribed "With Uncle Bram's love Aug 1897" by the author to Mrs W K Clifford, better known as Lucy Clifford, a famous novelist who was a friend of writers such as Henry James and Rudyard Kipling.
