The former England Under-16 and Under-18 international played for the Pirates during the 2006-07 season.

Both players will train with Pirates once a week and will be available to Redruth on loan for the rest of this season.

Pirates head coach Ian Davies may need to consider searching for another fly-half over the coming weeks after Kieran Hallett limped out of their home Championship victory over Nottingham yesterday.

Davies is already without Aaron Penberthy, who is resting a long-term groin injury, while Jonny Bentley is still recovering from an Achilles tendon problem.

Goal-kicker Grant Pointer is out with a torn hamstring. They will also be without dual-registered Exeter Chiefs backs Sam Hill and Jack Nowell for the upcoming British and Irish Cup games against Swansea.

Davies said: "Kieran limping off is a concern because we are already missing Aaron. Sam Hill and Jack Nowell are with England Under-20s over the next couple of weeks, so we haven't got them. It does put a bit of pressure on us. With Grant Pointer out, we will also need to find someone who can kick some goals."
