Relentless rain gives way to first snow alert in South West
Freezing temperatures and snow are set to bring a sharp end to the mild weather in the Westcountry.
Up to four inches of snow could fall on parts of the South West tomorrow as temperatures plummet to minus 3 degrees Celsius.

The yellow-graded warning is in place for Devon and Cornwall on Saturday and Sunday
Icy conditions will be felt across the region by Sunday with temperatures expected to descend rapidly over the next few days.
The Exeter-based Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice across the region this weekend.

Met Office spokesman Sarah Holland said: "In the next few days it will feel much colder. This weekend temperatures will fall to freezing or just below. Overnight Saturday and into Sunday it could be minus 2-3 in some parts.
"There will be a wintry mix of rain and sleet. And there is the chance of snow but mainly on higher ground.
"People need to be prepared for ice and keep up-to-date with weather forecasts."
Sunny spells and showers are expected today as temperatures fall into single figures, with colder weather due to hit the north of the region first.
Cold conditions are expected remain in place next week with the possibility of more sleet and snow on Monday.
