Rescue teams called to 'empty boat' off Sennen Cove find slouched skipper enjoying his fishing
COASTGUARD and lifeboat teams raced out to investigate reports of an empty boat that was locked in a circling pattern off Sennen Cove this morning.
But when they arrived they discovered the skipper was simply slouched low in his seat, while enjoying a quiet spot of fishing.
The report initially came from a member of the public at around 8am, who became concerned when he spotted the boat moving in a circle.
A spokeswoman for Falmouth Coastguard said: “The gentleman was walking along the cliff top and couldn’t see anyone in the boat. It was a good shout from him though – always better to be safe than sorry.”
