Rescue teams in search for woman
A LIFEBOAT crew, helicopter and cliff rescue team were scrambled to search for a missing woman at Sennen on Saturday.
The urgent call was received at around 3pm after the 60-year-old disappeared in the Cot Valley area between Sennen Cove and Cape Cornwall.
The Sennen-based RNLI all-weather lifeboat, rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose and the Land's End Cliff Rescue Team were tasked to search for the missing woman.
Rough seas caused problems for the RNLI team with a moderate swell making it impossible for them to get close to the shore.

After battling the poor conditions and fading light the search was called off and the woman was found safe and well in Mousehole that evening.
Speaking to The Cornishman after the search, a spokesman for the RNLI gave more details about the tough conditions.
"At 4.30pm as the light was fading the search was called off and the lifeboat returned to Sennen Cove," they said.
"The prevailing swell prevented any hope of a high-water recovery, as the seas were sweeping the breakwater from end to end."
