Return of the zombies

GHOULS and zombies have invaded Newquay! Courageous children are being sought to take part in a Zombie Crawl to run them out of town.

The Zombie Crawl will take place at 4.30pm on October 27, meeting at the Piazza in Newquay town centre and marching to the Killacourt.

Dressed in their scariest Hallowe'en costumes, local kids and visitors alike are challenged to spook the ghouls and zombies into fleeing from Newquay, with the help of a storyteller who will lead the march.

Children aged 5 to 14 are encouraged to come along and join in for free, armed with torches and fake blood to show just how fearsome Newquay can be.

If all of the zombies and ghouls are successfully banished, a free family disco will be held at the Hotel Victoria from 6pm, with oodles of gruesome games, chilling competitions and ghostly goings-on.

Organisers Newquay BID said that it's crucial that kids join in with the Zombie Crawl to save Newquay from a terrifying Hallowe'en invasion.

BID manager Eve Wooldridge said: "We're hoping Newquay's bravest kids and their parents will help to make this year's Zombie Crawl truly spooktacular, to rid the town of these troublesome ghouls and zombies once and for all."

All youngsters taking part in the Zombie Crawl must be accompanied by an adult.
