Revealed - possible new owner of Truro City
A leading Truro businessman appears to be behind plans to take over the city's stricken football club.
The administrators for Truro City had until 5pm today to come up with a £50,000 bond or they would be expelled from the Football Conference. As the deadline passed administrators said that negotiations were ongoing with the Football Conference and a resolution could be reached tonight.
The West Briton has discovered that a company with the name of Truro City Football Club 2012 was registered with Companies House yesterday. The company was previously named West Country Investments Ltd.
Tony Murtagh, who set up the Truro-based Money Group, is listed as a director of Truro City Football Club 2012.
