Richardson double helps Falmouth to win over relegation rivals Liskeard
Falmouth Town 2, Liskeard Athletic 1
Falmouth Town secured a much-needed win in their fight to avoid relegation as Liskeard Athletic’s hopes of avoiding the drop took another blow at Bickland Park on Saturday.
Dan Richardson scored twice, before limping off in the second half with a hamstring injury, but a bizarre own goal from Hugh Howlett gave the Blues hope in the second half.
Victory for Town lifts them up two places to fourth bottom, while Liskeard, still looking for their first league win of the season, remain rooted at the foot of the CSWPL table.

Richardson opened the scoring for Falmouth after 13 minutes from the penalty spot after veteran defender Roger Bonaparte miss-timed his challenge on Rob Wearne.
The midfielder then grabbed his second on 25 minutes when his low effort squirmed through the hands of Liskeard goalkeeper Adam Bainbridge.
The visitors were given a glimmer of hope when Howlett inexplicably turned back to play the ball to Dan Burrows, only to over hit his pass and lob the Town goalkeeper from 35 yards out.
Richardson had a chance to complete his hat-trick in the 61st minute but with just Bainbridge to beat he went down on the edge of the box after pulling up with a hamstring injury.
