VISITORS to Padstow can expect all the wonders of a traditional Christmas market on December 4, 5 and 6 as the harbour comes alive for its annual festival.

After the resounding success of its first year, Padstow's Christmas Festival is back, promising an array of seasonal treats with Christmas lights and decorations, fireworks, seasonal food, festive cookery demonstrations and late night shopping.

This year's Christmas market boasts stalls laden with Cornish goodies and at the heart of this year's festival will be an outdoor ice rink for all to enjoy.

Rick Stein will be signing books in Stein's Deli on Saturday, December 5 at 11am, then at 3pm Hugo Woolley will be signing copies of his latest book Bed and Breakfast in the Deli. Hugo will also be demonstrating dishes from his book on Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6 at 10am at Padstow Social Club.

Stephane Delourme of The Seafood Restaurant and Stuart Pate, Rick Stein's patissiere will also be demonstrating dishes on Saturday, December 5 at 2pm and 3pm.

“Padstein? Im not surprised Rick gets upset at the mention of that word. He has done wonders for the town of Padstow and the county of Cornwall. He's a local hero if anything and should be fully recognised as such.”
