Ride's Mark Gardener plays Falmouth's Beerwolf Books
AS WELL as leading the influential shoegazing genre of the early ’90s, Oxford’s Ride were also one of the most powerful live bands of the era.
Songs live Drive Blind and Dreams Burn Down coruscated a generation of music lovers who had just lived through the bewildering vacuum of the late ’80s.
After four albums they were gone – Andy Bell joined Oasis and Beady Eye while guitarist/singer Mark Gardener had a quieter post-Ride career.
He was ushered back into the spotlight following a series of world travels that led to touring and writing solo material in 2003. Mark now has his own recording studio in Oxford where he produces and mixes for many bands.
