Roll up, roll up for the county's biggest fair
ROLL UP, roll up…. they certainly did, as thousands flocked to the village of Summercourt for Cornwall's largest annual fair.
The village was transformed as people from across Cornwall visited to take in the four-day spectacular. Held from Wednesday to Saturday last week, the fair offered a wide variety of entertainment for the whole family.
Wednesday evening saw the fun fair come to town, with Thursday dedicated as a special market day. Friday and Saturday were again crammed with entertainment with both the fair and market running.
Ray West, who helped organise the event, said it was the best for many years.
"It was exceptional; easily one of the best fairs we have had for a long time.
"This was probably due to the brilliant weather we have had over the last week, with many people coming down.
"We also have a new person in charge of the market now, who is looking to really build up that side of the fair in future. We will definitely be back again next year."
