Rooms with a view brings top accolade for Cornish hotel
A Westcountry hotel has scooped a national award for its outstanding view.
LateRooms.com honoured the Tregenna Castle Hotel at St Ives with the "best view" title in its 2012 Best Kept Secret Awards.

"This stunning view stood out in the category because of the breathtaking coastline and excellent vantage position," the judges said.
"Guests of the hotel are certainly very lucky to wake up looking out of their window."

Tregenna Castle Hotel, which stands within a 72-acre estate, sits on a hill overlooking St Ives.
Operations director James Parker was delighted with the award. He said: "It is a great privilege to have such a view of St Ives and the stunning coastline below.
"Visitors from near and far get a huge amount of pleasure from the panorama, whether they are staying or simply enjoying a cream tea with us. Ours is a secret that we are delighted to share."
Eleven awards were given by hotel booking specialist LateRooms.com, ranging from best service to comfiest bed, from almost 3,000 properties nominated by the hotel-staying public.
The Scarlet, at Mawgan Porth, won the "best eco credentials" category.
