Rosamunde Pilcher comes to Porthtowan
Film crews descended on to Porthtowan beach to shoot scenes for a German TV film yesterday.
Some of Germany's most glamorous stars turned out to shoot the TV drama, which is based on a novel by the famous Cornish author Rosamunde Pilcher.
Filming for the current film has been happening across Cornwall throughout the summer.
To date, more than 70 films based on Pilcher's work have been made in Cornwall, using well-known German actors, making them one of the most popular and durable film series in German television history.

Lauren Zeat Kane, a member of staff at Blue Bar in Porthtowan, said: "I saw the film crew in the car park when I arrived at work at 8.30am, but they were gone by the time I left at 6pm.
"I know that they have filmed here before, but I couldn't see anything as they were quite secretive."
Rosamunde Pilcher, who was born in Lelant, near Hayle, is famous for her romance novels, some of which are set in Cornwall.
Filming of a Pilcher movie in Hayle last year is also credited with boosting tourism locally.
