Rugby League: Cornish Rebels link up with State of Mind
South West Challenge Cup holders Cornish Rebels have announced that they will be working with rugby league players welfare initiative State of Mind throughout 2014.
Founded in 2011 State of Mind is a programme which aims to improve the mental health, well-being and working lives of rugby league players and communities across the globe.
Through player interaction sessions and by encouraging players to speak openly about personal issues such as sudden injury, retirement or simply the every day ups and downs of the game they are having a very positive impact on players far and wide.
Rebels' commercial director Rob Butland said: "It gives us immense pride that such a well established and nationally recognised organisation want to work with our club.

"Like all clubs, we take our players' welfare very seriously, and we feel that State of Mind represent a very poignant issue within rugby league at all levels. Their profile within the game is huge, and they have worked with some of the biggest names in world rugby league, as well as across other sports, and we can't wait to get started!"
State of Mind will also have a place on the Rebels' brand new 2014 playing kit, which is being manufactured by ZOO Sport and is to be launched in the spring.
The club announced in December that they have agreed a primary-sponsorship deal with Keltek Cornish Brewery and the future certainly looks very bright for Cornwall's rugby league team. In celebration of the launch the club is running a competition via its Facebook page to win fantastic prizes, courtesy of the brewery.
The club is also pleased to be able to announce a second sponsorship agreement with Cornish tyre chain Tyrefinders.
Butland added: "We are extremely lucky that two well established and highly thought of Cornish companies have shown faith in our club and in our sport.
"2014 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for us, and it wouldn’t be possible without Keltek and Tyrefinders wanting to be get involved. With their good faith we can achieve fantastic results on the pitch and we can build a bright future for rugby league in Cornwall."
