A SECOND half brace from Spike Hughes gave Culdrose all three points at the airbase on Saturday.

Matt Thirkle then skimmed the bar with a drive and Carl Stevens brought a fine save from Saints' keeper Tony Simons. But it needed another save by Collins to prevent the visitors taking the lead just before the break, the keeper recovering after spilling Duncan's shot to block Lock's follow-up effort.

Hughes hit the Saints' bar early in the second half, but St Ives took the lead on 51 minutes when Chris Pugh tapped home Danny Paynter's cross.

The Airmen levelled on the hour when Hughes lobbed Simons from Stevens' through ball and after Collins had pulled off another superb save from Duncan after a Paynter corner, Hughes grabbed his second and the winner with a fierce 15-yard drive 10 minutes from time.

Man of the match: Ross Cook (St Ives).
