Sale of Truro City Football Club ground is a step closer
The sale of the ground at Truro City Football Club has moved a step closer after it was revealed that surveying work will start on Monday.
Property developers Helical Bar have an option to buy the Treyew Road ground and Truro City confirmed that negotiations are continuing.

The club also confirmed an ongoing interest in the proposed stadium for Cornwall as an alternative venue for Truro City.
Truro businessmen Pete Masters and Philip Perryman bought the club last month after it went into administration following the bankruptcy of former chairman, Kevin Heaney.

Ownership of the ground has always been key to negotiations – the current owner is a company called Jojo Investco Ltd which bought the ground from Cornish Properties Ltd for £2.28 million last July.
Truro City owner Mr Masters said: "Both parties recognise that any relocation must take into consideration the club's five-year business plan to achieve Conference Premier Level football whilst further developing its infrastructure to provide the youth within the county every opportunity to play at the higher level.
"Neither party has ruled out the Stadium for Cornwall project as a possible alternative."
Initial surveying work will start at Treyew Road on Monday (January 14) and is expected to last two weeks.
A detailed planning application for a stadium for Cornwall at Langarth near Threemilestone is with Cornwall Council but the £16 million project does not currently have sufficient financial backing.
