Saltash school invites former pupils to 200th anniversary
SALTASH'S oldest surviving school celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, having opened to pupils in 1812 under the St Stephens Church tower.
St Stephens School is holding an open afternoon from 1pm to 3pm on Tuesday so former pupils and staff can share in the celebrations.
Head teacher Martin Watkins said: "We are looking forward to welcoming former pupils to the school.
"A number of events have been planned and the invitation is open. We hope as many people as possible will come along."

"The school would be very grateful if you could loan them to us for the celebrations, and we will arrange for their safe return," said Mr Watkins.
