GALLERY: Santa comes to Cornwall’s schools and hospital
Santa Claus swapped his sleigh for a Sea King last week as he touched down to visit children at several schools and a Cornish hospital.
The North Poles most famous resident flew across the county delivering presents to thousands of girls and boys at Truro’s Royal Cornwall hospital and nearby primary schools.
Santa, who was said to be resting his reindeer in preparation for next Tuesday night, was flown by both the 771 and 820 squadrons from RNAS Culdrose.
Pete Wooldridge, community relations officer from RNAS Culdrose, said: “Aircrews from Culdrose enjoy contributing to the local community at this time of year”

More than 1,000 pre-Christmas presents were given out at nine schools including St Agnes, Perranporth, Bosvigo, Mylor, Mawnan, Parc Eglos, Mabe, Portreath and Treloweth.
At each place Santa was met by hundreds of excited children who clapped and cheered his arrival.
Carol Wint, the head teacher at St Agnes School, said: “It is fantastic that Culdrose took the time to deliver this special treat for our children.
“We’ve had all kinds of celebrations at the school, including two nativities and Christmas parties and this is a brilliant way to bring the school together”.
Tim from year two added: “It was really exciting and I liked seeing Father Christmas”
