School improves to 'good' in just two years
STAFF and pupils at Quethiock Primary School are celebrating after the school was rated as "good" following its latest inspection by the Office for Standards in Education.
A report issued by Ofsted said the school, which had previously been rated as "satisfactory", had made several improvements since the previous inspection.
Before she left at the end of last term, the school's head teacher Victoria Bryan said: "I am very proud to have witnessed our school grow from being a satisfactory school to a good school with outstanding features in just over two years. It certainly is testament to the hard work and commitment that is evident here at Quethiock C of E VA School."
A total of 48 children attend the school, which is located five miles from Liskeard.

The Ofsted report states that in 2012 all Year 6 pupils reached the national standard in English and maths.
The inspector described the behaviour of pupils as excellent.
He said: "Pupils' outstanding behaviour is promoted well by the school's caring, Christian ethos and excellent promotion of their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development."
He added: "Teaching at the school is consistently good and sometimes outstanding."
School leaders and governors also received praise for addressing problems within the school.
