School's future bright after good report and new pupils
THE FUTURE is looking bright for Trevisker School, St Eval, with an influx of new pupils and a glowing Ofsted report.
Just last year head teacher Ros Adams feared that the withdrawal of the US Navy from RAF St Mawgan could have dire consequences for the school, near Padstow.

At its peak the school had more than 280 pupils but that figure fell to as low as 126 at one point.
Three staff were made redundant and there were fears more jobs could be lost.
Now, however, things are looking up after the school welcomed an extra 36 pupils to its roll since September.
In its latest Ofsted report it was deemed a "good school" overall and seen as "outstanding for the effectiveness of care, guidance and support".
In a letter to pupils, the Ofsted lead inspector Joyce Cox said the team had enjoyed visiting the school and that the pupils had made good progress and reached above average standards.
The report said that pupil behaviour was good and they worked hard and played very happily together. They were taught well and the lessons were fun and interesting.
It states: "This is a good school where pupils are happy, work hard and achieve well. Parents and carers were seen to be pleased with the school, especially with the excellent quality of care it provides.
One commented: "This is a fantastic school. It provides a very caring environment coupled with discipline and learning."
The report continued: "Staff also give outstanding support to all pupils, including those who find learning difficult and those who are vulnerable.
"Pupils' behaviour is good and they feel safe in school.
"There are good procedures for protecting pupils from harm."
Mrs Adams, who has taught at the school for more than 20 years, was also praised for being a good leader and together with the staff, manages the school well.
She said: "Staff and governors at Trevisker Community Primary School are delighted that Ofsted inspectors have recognised us as a "good" school.
"As this is my first Ofsted inspection since becoming head teacher here, I am particularly pleased that all the hard work from staff, governors, parents and pupils has been officially recognised.
"Since September we have welcomed 22 reception and 14 other new pupils into the school and our numbers continue to rise.
"With the start of renovation and leasing of the local housing estate currently taking place, the future is looking bright."
