A specialist Westcountry school for the visually impaired has been renamed to mark its 175th anniversary. The former West of England School and College for young people with little or no sight will now be known as WESC Foundation: The Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment. Principal Tracy de Bernhardt Dunkin said the makeover was overdue. She added: "Our image needed refreshing to reflect the changes taking place at all levels at the organisation so that all of our services can move forward with greater confidence."
