The names of Cornwall's three new members of the Youth Parliament have been announced. Winners were revealed following elections at schools, colleges and youth centres across the county, held between January 28 and February 1 – around 4,000 votes were cast. The election takes place every two years to fit in with the national programme and to begin the two-year term of office from February. Jaspa Stritt, 17, from Truro College, was elected for West Cornwall, Tia Joslyn, 15, from Truro High School, won Mid Cornwall and Amy Lyle, 15, of Launceston College took East Cornwall.
