CHILDREN from both Lostwithiel and Lerryn School joined forces with Lostwithiel Rotary Club last week to raise money to help eradicate polio worldwide.
Rotary members, Rob Stephens, Nick Warrick, Jeremy Hoskin and president, Andrew Banner, gave presentations to the schools, telling the children about the terrible effects of polio.

Children from both schools dressed in something purple and bought special blue wrist bands to help raise almost £240 which is enough to immunise more than 1,000 children. Jeremy Hoskin, the club's senior vice-president, said everyone enjoyed a brilliant day.
"The children were so enthusiastic," he said. "We received excellent support from the children and teachers. Congratulations to both schools."
