Passenger services to the Isles of Scilly provided by Scillonian III and Skybus will be affected by adverse weather conditions during the next 24 to 48 hours, resulting in flight and sailing cancellations.

Scillonian III will depart Penzance at 09.15am on Thursday 14 June as usual. The ship will then remain docked at St Mary’s Harbour until Friday afternoon when she will depart at 16.30. This means that there will be no return sailing from St Mary’s to Penzance on Thursday afternoon and no outbound sailing from Penzance on Friday morning.

Skybus flights are also affected. From midday Thursday 14 June it is expected that weather conditions will deteriorate severely and no flights will be able to operate the route to the Isles of Scilly until Saturday 16 June.

The decision to cancel sailings and flights is based on passenger comfort and safety. The expected conditions are severe and would be unsafe to travel in. The weather conditions are being monitored and should there be any change in the forecasted conditions a further update will be provided.
