Seizing a chance to clean up
CLEAN-up work was under way in St Ives this week as a lull in the storms gave residents and business owners a chance to patch up and mend.
Large amounts of sand along Wharf Road needed clearing and doors and windows needed cleaning and in many cases repainting.
Windows were also broken either by the force of the waves or the pebbles they picked up.
The far end of the road remained closed for much of Sunday due to the amount of sand left by the storm surge.
