Service of Remembrance to be held during Baby Loss Awareness Week
The annual Remembrance Service for those who have experienced the loss of a baby is being held on Sunday 13th October, at 2 pm at The Lady of the Portal and St Piran Church in Truro.
RCHT’s pastoral care and maternity unit teams extend an open invitation to parents and extended family members to take this opportunity to remember a child. Following the service there will be a balloon release and refreshments.
Senior midwife, Karen Stoyles said, “The service is a time for people who have shared similar experiences to come together and support one and other. For those who wish to, it is a time to pause, to talk and to remember those precious lives alongside others who can relate so closely to their own feelings.”
This simple service is available to all who have lost a baby during pregnancy or at or after birth, either in recent times or perhaps many years ago, and is open to anyone who would like to share in it.
