"Severe Flood Warning" at Helston
The Environment Agency (EA) issued a "Severe Flood Warning" at Helston yesterday evening in the area of St Johns Road, St Johns Close, Coronation Park and Loe Pool. This followed an earlier, less severe "Flood Warning" alert.
The EA website says: "River levels are rising and expected to flood out into the lower areas of the town causing significant hazard. This flooding is imminent take the appropriate action now."

The warning remains in force as of Sunday morning.
