Severe weather warning issued in Cornwall for Friday and Saturday.
Heavy rain is on the way in Cornwall after the sunniest summer in seven years.
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Friday and Saturday in the county.
The severe weather warning covers the whole of Cornwall and large parts of the UK.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Some locally heavy and persistent rainfall is expected, particularly across Wales and parts of England. This may cause some flooding from rivers or surface water.
“There is still significant uncertainty as to where and when the heaviest rainfall and greatest impacts will occur.”
The Met Office announced last week that this year the UK had enjoyed the sunniest and driest summer since 2006.
