Severed pig's head found on doorstep by "sickened" school girl in Camborne
A school girl was sickened when she returned home alone to find a severed pigs head on her doorstep - which her family believe was the act of vigilantes.
The 14-year-old girl arrived home at 4pm on Centenary Row West in Camborne on Friday (OCT 11) where she saw a black plastic bag on the doorstep.
The teenager, who has not been named, told police: “It was like something out of a horror movie. I was terrified, I did not know what it meant. ”
Her parents had been attending the court case of their relative, Mark Entiwstle, who was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, for causing the death of cyclist, Paul Kemsley by careless driving.

Her father, John Coupland told police: “I am usually at home to meet my daughter from school, but this day was no ordinary day for us.
“My wife and myself attended court. It was a most distressing case for both families involved, the cyclist who was killed was a much loved family man, highly thought of in the community and deeply missed by his friends and family alike.
“It is my personal opinion that the significant timing of the placement of this animals head indicates a reprisal attack relating to this tragic incident. I do not think for one moment that any members of the deceased's family has had anything to do with this, but rather I suspect it is the actions of one or more vigilantes who foolishly think these types of reprisals act as some kind of justice.
“Terrifying my young daughter with dismembered animal parts serves no justice whatsoever, and now we all live in fear of further attacks.”
Police have carried out door to door enquiries in the area and visited local butchers and meat wholesalers.
PCSO Andrew Taylor from Camborne police station said : “The severed pig’s head was wrapped in a black bin liner and left on the doorstep. This in itself is an unsettling and disturbing occurrence, however it is more so by the fact that it was a school girl that found it.
“The family are obviously very worried and scared as to why it was left there. As this is a public order offence, a criminal investigation is under way and all efforts are going toward finding who put the pig’s head on their doorstep.”
