POLICE are investigating the theft of a Singer sewing machine from outside a Newlyn property.

The sewing machine was stolen from Carne Road sometime between 10.30am and 10.35am on Friday, January 27.

The victim told police he had just bought the sewing machine, valued at £40, and left it outside his house for a few minutes before returning and finding that it had disappeared.

Investigating officers said a white van seen in the area at the time could possibly be linked to the crime.
