Shock as teenager found dead in woodland
A teenager has been found dead in woodland near a village in Cornwall, police have confirmed.
The 16-year-old was discovered in woods at Blackwater, near Truro, by two other boys who were unable to resuscitate him.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident was reported to them at 4.10pm on Wednesday. The spokesman said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
The teenager has been named locally as Alex Philbey and is understood to have taken his own life.

He was a student at Truro College and is thought to be a former pupil at Richard Lander, also in Truro. Cheryl Mewton, director of studies at Truro College said: "Staff and students are greatly saddened by this tragic news.
"Alex was making good progress on his course. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time."
The death has been reported to Cornwall coroner Dr Emma Carlyon.
