'Shocking' death of RCH doctor
A "PROMISING young doctor" at the Royal Cornwall Hospital has been found dead at his home.
The police and ambulance were called to an address in Lanner, near Redruth, at about 2.20pm on Friday.
Police officers said the 31-year-old's death was not being treated as suspicious.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust chief executive Lezli Boswell and medical director Paul Upton sent an e-mail to staff at 3.12pm on Monday which stated: "It is with great sadness that we write to tell you of the tragic death of one of our colleagues."

It said Juzar Adamjee "was sadly found dead at his home on Friday".
It continued: "Juzar was a well-liked and highly respected doctor working in the Medicine Division and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time."
They described the registrar on the medical admissions unit of the hospital as a "promising young doctor in the trust".
In an official statement, Ms Boswell said: "We are deeply saddened to hear about the tragic death of one of our colleagues and a highly respected young doctor in the trust.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time."
Colleagues described the mood at the hospital since the news of Dr Adamjee's death as sombre. One employee said the news about the "really good doctor" was "shocking and sad".
Affected members of staff have been directed to their team leaders as well as the occupational health team if they felt they need support.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were called to a property in Lanner at around 1420 hours on Friday, 22 June, 2012.
"On arrival officers found the body of a 31-year-old man.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time."
Staff at the coroner's office in Truro said they had been notified of the death but had not yet opened an inquest.
