Shoppers are urged to give the gift of prosperity to Falmouth businesses
BUSINESS leaders are calling on local people to give the gift of prosperity this Christmas and beyond with a new campaign.
'Shop local, think Falmouth' aims to encourage support for shops and businesses and is the latest project from the Support the High Street campaign, in which Falmouth's Business Improvement District (BID) group has lobbied regionally and nationally, including at the Houses of Parliament.
Falmouth BID manager Richard Wilcox said: "The 'Shop local, think Falmouth' campaign has already galvanised extensive business support, which is terrific, and demonstrates that Falmouth working together can achieve a lot more and be an even more compelling place to visit."
Advertising, shop window posters and stickers will highlight the importance of supporting local businesses and the community that they serve, particularly during the current challenging economic climate.

Next year the Celebrating Falmouth Businesses exhibition runs in The Poly from January 21 to highlight the diversity of businesses in Falmouth and the Falmouth Food & Drink Week in February will promote the local food producers and sellers.
