St Agnes woman left speechless by the return of the ring
THE sudden return of a ring she lost 30 years ago has left a St Agnes woman "speechless".
Sally Fowler has been reunited with her gold ring after her husband found it while forking over a patch of their Chapel Porth garden.
Builder Ralph Fowler was turning over an area of untouched soil when he saw a glint of gold.
He said: "I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Sally lost the ring picking beans about 30 years ago. We searched at the time but there was no sign of it."
Mrs Fowler was "speechless" at the sight of the ring, which was given to her more than 40 years ago by her mother-in-law, the late Ena Fowler.
"We were both staggered to have found it after all this time," Mr Fowler added.
After a quick wash, the signet ring, which was incredibly left untarnished by three decades in the ground, went straight back on Mrs Fowler's finger.
"I had looked for it for ages and thought I would never see it again. I am really happy to have it back," Mrs Fowler said.
She added: "I thought I had lost the ring for ever."
