BISCOVEY CAN'T RAISE SIDE:
The Cornish Guardian East Cornwall Premier League match between Tavistock and Biscovey was awarded to Tavistock after Biscovey pulled out of the fixture because they were unable to raise a side for the trip across the Tamar.
Ironically news of Biscovey's inability to fulfil the fixture came shortly after they had confirmed their intention to continue in the East Cornwall League next season.
ECPL leading scorers:

GORRAN 1st XI v MENHENIOT-LOOE:
Gorran secured their first victory of the summer on Saturday with a much improved all round performance at home to Menheniot-Looe.
The early dismissal of James Carter, trapped lbw for 0, seemed to vindicate the visitors decision to ask Gorran to bat first, after winning the toss.
The home side recovered from this early setback, however, thanks to a stylish 40 from reliable opener Matt House and a brave contribution of 32 from 16-year-old Elliott Bamber-Jones.
A muscle injury had forced him to retire hurt halfway through his innings but he later came back to complete it. Useful efforts followed from Robin Kendall (16) and James Tomlinson (19) but when House was bowled by Rogers with the score on 129 for four, Gorran badly needed someone to shore up the innings and bat with the lower order.
New signing Andrew Grant successfully fulfilled that role with a vital 56 not out. Menheniot/Looe will rue the four lives they gave Grant for it was his partnership with Elliott Bamber-Jones which took Gorran from a precarious 164 for seven to the calmer waters of 216 for eight.
Two sacrificial run outs followed in an attempt to up the tempo and Gorran were finally bowled out for 228 in the 49th over.
Menheniot-Looe's innings started in similar vein to Gorran's as James Tomlinson sent back Peter Nance for 0. There then followed a potentially match winning partnership between Mark Grassam and Chris Davies.
After Kevin Harris bowled Davies for 29, however, Gorran's 15-year-old off spinner Rhys Daniel turned the game decisively in the home side's favour.
First, he had the dangerous Grassam bowled for 56 and then had Mike Maiden caught by Harrison Bamber-Jones for 25. This proved to be the final resistance from the visitors as Gorran's young guns now took centre stage.
Sixteen-year-old fast bowler Harrison Bamber-Jones ripped into the lower order taking three wickets for 13 runs in five overs and young Daniel added a further scalp, before returning the excellent figures of 3 for 29 in 10 overs. Menheniot/Looe were all out for 157 in the 47th over.
Result: Gorran won by 78 runs. Gorran 20pts, Menheniot-Looe 8.
