St Agnes band aiming for Christmas number one
A St Agnes rock band is asking the people of Cornwall to help them gain a chart topping Christmas hit by sending in their festive pictures.
Seven Legs wrote their seasonal song after receiving a challenge to pen a number one Christmas smash by bass guitarist’s Martin Crump’s wife.
The band premiered their prophetically titled “Christmas Number One” song last year at the St Agnes Hotel to a rapturous reception.
Mr Crump said: “By the time we were half way through it everyone was singing it and asked us to sing it again.

“It’s like any good Christmas song, it has a cheesy catchy chorus.”
This year the band want to release Christmas Number One for download and are asking the people of Cornwall to star in their video.
“We thought it would be fun to get people to send in pictures of themselves in cheesy Christmas jumpers rather than just having one still picture of the band for the video,” Mr Crump said.
Any type of outrageous or cute Christmas picture will be accepted from dogs dressed as Father Christmas to family photos from Lapland.
Fans who want to take part should email their photos to xmasNumber1@sevenlegs.co.uk.
