The match kicked off with the Hornets playing down the slight slope.
Within 90 seconds of the start, it was Newquay who opened the scoring following secure scrum ball in the middle of the field. The ball was swung wide and rapid handling put winger Kris Evans into the corner for the first of his two tries.
Less than eight minutes later, good ruck ball for the Hornets left the way clear for strong running flanker Reece Hughes to score the second try for the visitors.
The scoreline at half-timewas 10-0 in favour of the Hornets.
After 13 minutes the second half, Hornets' winger Harrison Cully found space on the halfway line and cruised in for a fine solo try.
Following this score, the Hornets made several substitutions which seemed to raise the tempo of their play virtually immediately.
From a scrum in the Saints' 22, the ball was moved to the blindside and winger Evans bagged his second try.
On the 25 minute mark, a barreling run by flanker Hughes punctured the Saints' midfield and they infringed. From the resultant secure Hornets' scrum, the ball found its way to winger Cully who scored to make it 25-0 to the visitors. Fly half Ben Stean converted.
Cully was also involved in the final try, delivering a well timed pass to replacement wing Tom Tierney, who raced to the left corner leaving a despairing Saints defender clutching thin air.
As the Hornets advance into the semi-finals, they will be aware of elements of their play that need tightening up. The remainder of their season shows no sign of easing up and includes a tour as well as two hard fixtures against touring Welsh sides.

MENHENIOT TENNIS CLUB NETS COUNTY AWARD:
Menheniot Tennis Club is celebrating a very successful 2011.
At the Cornwall Tennis AGM Sally Lobb, coaching assistant at Menheniot Tennis Club, was awarded Cornwall Coach of the Year for her support of Cornish tennis and for the development of the Menheniot Tennis Club Programme.
Sally has assisted head coach Stewart Lees in establishing a successful Mini Tennis programme at the club for more than 30 local schoolchildren, and in running an adult coaching programme for both beginners and more experienced players. This has led to a doubling of membership numbers and the club is looking forward to building on this success in 2012. Stewart said that without Sally's input this would just not have been possible, and he feels that this is a very well deserved award which should put Menheniot firmly on the tennis map.
Sally is also working with other committee members, notably Jan Santillo, club secretary, towards achieving Clubmark Status for the club, a nationally recognised standard across many sports.
The club welcomes new players, and children aged five to ten are invited to join the Mini Tennis programme.

STARS OF THE FUTURE:
Two tennis players in Bude are showing great potential at a very young age and have both successfully represented the county at regional and national tournaments.
Louis Davey, eight, and Samuel Jennings, nine, both pupils at Stratton Primary school are spending six hours a week playing tennis as well as taking part in competitions.
Over the Christmas holiday Louis played in the national Powder Byrne under-eight tournament at Bisham Abbey, Marlow. Louis, coached by Hannah Miller at the Tarka Tennis Centre in Barnstaple, took the prestigious Powder Byrne Trophy title, defeating players who had qualified from all over the country.
His prize was two Dunlop tennis bags, tennis balls and a one year initial sponsor contract with Dunlop to supply him with rackets, clothing and bags. Louis has a two day trip to West Hants at half term, playing and being coached at an Elite training centre.
He is also attending county and regional talent days.
Louis will play in grade three regional tournaments which means some big trips away, the first to Bath University at the end of this month.
Samuel Jennings, who trains in Bude and Bodmin, has in the last year won two tournaments in Bristol, the Clifton College and the David Lloyd open.
He also qualified for a LTA National event by winning the regional tournament in Exmouth. He has made the long trip to Cambridge for his first taste of the national circuit. Samuel's successes resulted in selection for the U9 county tennis squad and he has also been included in the county U10 squad for the 2012 season.
He is a member of Bude RATS (Running And TriathalonS) and is a talented footballer with Bude Youth Football Club. The Blanchminster trust have assisted in the funding of one of his trips away. Samuel owes a great deal of thanks to Martin Venning and Gary Bickle for their constant training support and help.
Stratton head teacher Phil Aldis says: "We are very proud of both Samuel and Louis and their achievements. They not only play to a very high standard but both obviously really enjoy their tennis and are very modest about their success."
Both boys are being supported by the Budehaven Community School Junior Athlete Education (JAE) Programme which offers support to the talented athletes at Budehaven and their feeder primary schools to ensure that a balance is kept between school and sport at the top level.
