St Day churches will be awash with Christmas trees
ST DAY is to hold its first Christmas tree festival.
It will see 40 Christmas trees displayed at the parish church, the Methodist and old parish churches over the first two weekends in December.
Linda Barker, who is helping to organise the festival, said: "The aim is to enable community groups and businesses within the community to decorate a tree and promote themselves, and additionally, to raise some funds for local, charitable organisations."
The churches will be supplying hot lunches, brunches and afternoon teas during the festival.

The trees that will be sited in the parish church will be large trees, over 16 feet tall, which the organisers hope to source locally.

The organisers would like to borrow bases suitable for the larger trees; again please contact Mrs Barker if you are able to help.
