St Ives' Subway closes
THE SUBWAY sandwich store in St Ives has closed.
The national takeaway chain has confirmed the shop has closed permanently but could not confirm how many staff had lost their jobs.
A spokesman said: "We can confirm that the St Ives Subway store closed on January 2.
"There are plans to open another store as soon as a more central location is secured and we hope to be serving our customers again by 2014."

The takeaway was opened by Helston-born businessman Bev Knights, Subway's regional development agent.
He personally owns six Subways in Cornwall and has developed and opened 52 franchised Subway stores in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and the Channel Islands. When approached for a comment Mr Knights' office said he was out of the office until Friday.
