St Just keep up pressure on leaders with deserved win
THE competition at the top end of the table is as fierce as ever after the leading seven clubs all picked up three points this weekend.
Leaders St Day overcame struggling Goonhavern 3-1 thanks to goals from Gavin Boon, Chris Tolley and Mikey Davies. Daniel Carne replied for the bottom side.
St Just kept the pace after seeing off Redruth United by the same scoreline. Darren Steadman, Lewis Caspell and Stuart Nicholls cancelled out an earlier strike from United's Dan McInerney.
Falmouth Town continued their impressive start to the season, putting six past Porthleven. Steve Retchford bagged two with others from Tom Richards, Anthony Brown, Marc Rose and Scott Kellow. Joe Burgess and Fred Williams replied for the home side.

Two goals in two second half minutes ensured Illogan came from behind to see off Newquay and keep the pace with the early leaders.
Ludgvan earned a hard fought 2-1 win at Mullion. Chris Blee's strike for the hosts wasn't enough as a Gary Mathews penalty and Gerens James, with his 25th goal in 12 games this season, sealed victory for the Hurlers.
Wendron also won 2-1 at Falmouth Athletic to stay sixth. Luke Wort grabbed the winner after goals from Sam Care and Jack Foote had the sides level at 1-1.
St Ives Town continued their surge up the table, thumping Penryn 4-0 at The Saltings.
A brace from Ross Duncan and one each from Tom Morris and Sean Roberts helped the Saints move up to seventh spot.
At the other end of the table, Culdrose climbed above opponents Troon and out of the bottom three after a 4-1 home win. Adam McMillan (2), Simon Wilson and Craig Lambert were all on target while Andrew House pulled one back for the struggling visitors.
Hayle drew 1-1 at Perranwell. with Corey Jewell scoring for Hayle and Tom Wowk for Perranwell.
On Tuesday RNAS Culdrose won 4-2 at Porthleven with goals from Danny Brockwell, Adam McMillan, Jamie Thompson, Lee Martin.
