The Cornish outlets of beef and lamb supplier St Merryn Foods are among those to have been sold by its Dutch parent company to a British food group. The 2 Sisters Food Group has agreed to buy Vion's UK poultry and red meat business. Vion's Dutch parent company has previously announced its intention to exit the UK market after losing several poultry contracts. The deal includes St Merryn sites in Victoria and Bodmin as well as nine sites, mainly in Wales and Scotland. 2 Sisters said the acquisition was in response to growing consumer demand.
