Staff absence hits trains
COMMUTERS were stranded after a series of trains between Truro and Falmouth were cancelled due to staff shortages on Friday.
The First Great Western website said: "Owing to a member of train crew being unavailable between Truro and Falmouth Docks train services through these stations may be subject to disruption on all routes at short notice."
The services were cancelled until the 8.51am train from Truro to Falmouth.
A replacement bus service was put in place but commuters told the West Briton this information had not been made clear to passengers waiting on the platform.
