Standards are being met at GP surgery
A PENZANCE surgery which caters for the health needs of more than 6,000 people is meeting all five standards of care demanded by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors who visited the surgery in October said the Alverton Practice at Alverton Terrace met the standards for:
Respecting and involving people who use its services.

Inspectors spoke to eight patients about the service they received and they all made positive comments.
GP partner Richard Cheyne said: "Formal inspections are always very nerve-racking, so it's good to know that we seem to be doing things right.
"Most important for us is the positive comments from our patients because they're the people who know us best. The whole team at Alverton works very hard in trying to help and support our patients in any way we can; we're delighted the CQC inspection team recognised this. We aim to continue to improve and make further progress wherever we can."
