Staples' boss 'locked up' for good cause
THE boss of Staples in Truro was locked up in an unusual Cornwall Hospice Care charity fundraiser.
Jane Hoskins nominated herself as the first manager in Cornwall to take part in the Lock up Your Boss scheme.
Representatives from the charity organised a mock 'arrest' for 'crimes against the workplace', Mrs Hoskins was locked in a 'prison van' in the front of the store until £250 'bail' money was raised.
The bail money, donated by staff, contacts and customers, was then given to the local charity which funds the care at its two hospices – Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell and St Julia's in Hayle.
