BEDRUTHAN Steps Hotel, near Newquay, has opened an exciting new place to eat delicious food overlooking the bay of Mawgan Porth.

Wild Café, which opened last week, promises to offer a colourful, funky and relaxed atmosphere and sophisticated café-restaurant food.

You can drop by the café any time of day for delicious artisan patisserie, freshly baked bread, great specialist coffee and, rumour has it, the café's cracking Cornish breakfast is one of the best you will taste anywhere in Cornwall.

Later in the day, you can take your pick – tuck in to wonderful weekend roast lunches, an interesting daily mix of favourite British dishes, Cornish meze and tapas, amazing salads using home-grown and foraged Cornish produce and the most yummy cakes and puddings.

Wild Café will be a delicious alternative to the best pubs in Cornwall and will serve fantastic wild cocktails to boot.

The Wild Café will be complemented at the end of March by the opening of the Red Herring seafood restaurant, Bedruthan's collaboration with Mick Smith and Ryan Vennings of Porthminster Beach Café.
