Stole 50in TV and a car to take it away
CHEEKY burglars stole a television from a Lostwithiel hotel and then pinched a car from a nearby car park to make a getaway, police say.
Charity boxes from the Best Western Restormel Lodge Hotel, Castle Hill, were also snatched during the burglary overnight on Sunday.
Entry was gained through the car park into the kitchen and the 50-inch screen television was taken from the ground floor.
The theft of a white Citroën Berlingo from close-by Uzella Park was also reported to police.

St Austell police inspector Stuart Gibbons said the car was likely stolen to transport the large television.
"The theft of the motor vehicle was at the same time at the same location. There's no other way to carry out a 50-inch television screen."
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting GW13/108 for the hotel theft and GW13/109 for the vehicle theft.

“Charity box's... come on surely the police recognized that in Lostwithiel there is a known charity box thief... Hope the person/s who done this get caught at some point and would be shocked but more than happy to hear that they are locked up.”
